Chris Jison and their map

Hi I'm...

Chris Jison

My job at Luckies involves...

I am a member of the design team, my job involves developing and designing products and packaging.

My favourite Scratch Map is...

My favourite Scratch Map has to be the Platinum Edition, not only because I designed it but because it is a very technical map which focuses on time zone facts that help you figure out times all over the world. I also think it’s the most aesthetically unique compared to the rest.

My most embarrassing/funniest travel story is...

It’s more memorable than embarrassing. So long story short, I recently took a trip to Hvar, an island not far from Split (Croatia) where I realized that I left my phone on a bus to the beach. My girlfriend suggested to ask a random person on a scooter (who didn’t hesitate) to chase down the bus with me riding with him. We drove for miles, passing three towns and finally finding the bus on the last stop and finally getting my phone back. In the end we went back to the beach and bought him a few beers for his troubles.

My favourite travel photo I’ve taken is...

I’ve been to great places with great sceneries but I’ve always loved taking pictures that shows culture. One of which has got be from my last trip to Philippines, where I managed to snap a few bare footed kids playing basketball in the rain. It’s a favourite of mine because it shows how basketball is really engraved in Filipino culture. It’s the countries favourite pastime.

Rain or shine, it's usually basketball time

My best travel hack/accessory is...

I have none, I always over pack. Sorry!

The next item off my travel bucket list will be...

Not quite sure yet, but hopefully somewhere in South America.

The best place I've ever been to is...

I’m probably biased but it’s got to be the motherland, Philippines! In terms of food, scenery and the varieties of things to do and go to.

My dream travel destination is...

At the moment it has to be South America, I’d love to go backpacking there for a few months.
